Artist Mickie Caspi draws inspiration from both the Israeli and American design landscapes to create striking ketubahs that fuse traditional themes with clean, contemporary illustration. Caspi’s signature style blends Persian illumination, art deco motifs, and intricate botanical watercolors inspired by her own garden in Newton, Massachusetts. This ketubah brings the best of art deco style to the wedding vows. Roses climb an arched frame, silhouetted against a night sky twinkling with stars. Their cool detail contrasts beautifully with the warm red borders, as well as the simplicity of the text calligraphy. The word “ketubah" is displayed at the top, in intricate calligraphy, providing an artistic centerpiece to the symmetrical design.
