Artist Stephanie Caplan grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and currently lives in the East Village of New York. She draws on the energy of the city, as well as her academic background in Judaism and art history, to create ketubahs that combine art and ritual in new and surprising ways. The Pomegranate Ketubah showcases the traditional symbol of good deeds and good fortune in a gorgeous, bright border around the text. Caplan’s signature glowing pigments illuminate vibrant red pomegranates and twining branches, accented by small flowers. A spectrum of green shades add dimension and movement to the piece, inviting a closer look and creating a sense of festive celebration.
