Artist Howard Fox of Carkor, Israel, is originally from Canada and invites his diverse life experiences to inspire and inform his work. Fox is known for a unique artistic style that he calls "Fiction" — the weaving of realism and imagination. This intricate and arresting style is evident in all his work, including his collection of distinctive ketubahs. The Jerusalem Ketubah features a thick border brimming with architectural texture and depth of color. Mosaic motifs, arches, and medallions lend a Middle Eastern feel to this piece, drawing in the viewer with gorgeous colors and stunning detail. Twin windows provide a glimpse into biblical Jerusalem, while a menorah presides over the text itself. This ketubah manages to be classic and still completely unique, with stately motifs and a modern design sensibility.
