Ayala Ben-David created expressive, vibrant works of art inspired by her life on a kibbutz in the Negev desert in the South of Israel. Her work often plays with contrast and symbolism, texture and realism. The Inspired by Klimt ketubah glows with shades of gold, blue, and purple inspired by the “golden phase" of artist Gustav Klimt. The text is framed by intricate motifs, creating a curved mosaic brimming with detail and asymmetry. In the upper left corner, a couple embraces. The design is accented by the phrase, “I have found the one in whom my soul delights" in shining gold leaf.
