This sweet work of art is small in size but big on charm. Using a centuries-old technique of hand-colored engraving, artist Karla Gudeon hand-pulls a print for each image from the metal plate she has incised with her line drawing. Then she uses watercolor to paint each one in loving detail on handmade paper. This piece features two birds encircled by a branching heart, paired with words from Song of Songs: “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” Made in the U.S.A.
