Gold Leaves Heirloom Ketubah

Danny Azoulay is a Jerusalem artist with a passion for creating high-design papercut ketubahs that both honor the past and carry meaning and tradition into the future. He calls the ketubah “a couple’s first family heirloom" and is mindful of this responsibility as he creates beautiful, architectural pieces to grace the home for years to come. In this simple but gorgeous design, Azoulay reinvigorates the traditional rectangular ketubah, incorporating a delicate geometric border laced with gold leaves. A bold banner reads, “ani l’dodi v’dodi li (I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine)." Above the text, a stylized gold tile hints at Azoulay’s childhood in Morocco, while the branches laden with abundant pomegranates symbolize the riches of the Land of Israel.
