Karla Gudeon, a former teacher, came to her art career later in life when she chose to pursue her passion for hand-colored engraving and watercolor. Karla is inspired by illuminated manuscripts and folk art, and artistically portrays her own core values: family, culture, strong women, an open-minded world view, and the natural world. The Entwined Ketubah is a gorgeous and unique design from Karla Gudeon, utilizing a repetitive background motif that gives the impression of beautiful vintage wallpaper. In each medallion, two flowers intertwine within a border of open blossoms. This motif is repeated as a frame around the ketubah text, in shades of turquoise, yellow, and purple. Two bluebirds finish the design, symbolizing two intertwining to become one.
