Artist Mickie Caspi draws inspiration from both the Israeli and American design landscapes to create striking ketubahs that fuse traditional themes with clean, contemporary illustration. Caspi’s signature style blends Persian illumination, art deco motifs, and intricate botanical watercolors inspired by her own garden in Newton, Massachusetts. In this ketubah, blue and gold combine to make a bold statement full of detail and symbolism. Intricate scrollwork inspired by traditional illumination provides an artful border for a watercolor background of gold foliage. In the center, a blue Star of David is flanked by the quotes “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine" and “I have found the one in whom my soul delights" in both English and Hebrew. This stunning ketubah does credit to the commitment it represents, and will be a beautiful centerpiece to the couple’s new home.
