With graceful lines of flowing text and rushing waves, this giclée print makes a moving addition to any home. This work of art represents the spiritual practice of teshuvah — a word sometimes translated as “repentance,” but which has its roots in the word “turning” and “returning.” This piece makes an excellent reminder to return to our truest selves. It bears the Hebrew text of psalm 40, which includes a verse used in Rosh Hashanah prayers: “I waited patiently for Hashem; Hashem turned to me and heard my cry.” Inspired by the beauty of the psalms, this east coast artist uses her art to bring the text to life.
