Robin Hall came to her love of ketubah design through a deeply-felt affinity for Hebrew calligraphy, which she learned at the age of twenty-one. Local to the Bay Area, Hall integrates her calligraphic expertise with vibrant designs and meaningful symbols from traditional Jewish sources. The Synagogue Ketubah showcases Hall's signature calligraphy in a finely-detailed frame, reminiscent of all the details and majesty of an old-world synagogue. Traditional symbols of Jewish life adorn the border, including a twelve tribes of Israel, a tree of life, a peacock for prosperity, and a Star of David. A golden Hebrew "chai", meaning "life," finishes the design.
