Danny Azoulay is a Jerusalem artist with a passion for creating high-design papercut ketubahs that both honor the past and carry meaning and tradition into the future. He calls the ketubah “a couple’s first family heirloom" and is mindful of this responsibility as he creates beautiful, architectural pieces to grace the home for years to come. The Siman Tov Ketubah is a jubilant example of Azoulay’s masterful papercut style. Rendered in a circle, the design features a repeating arch motif. The lacy quality of the borders, as well as the touches of green, ochre, and gold, create a rich, warm, and symmetrical feel that draws the eye into the text itself. The Hebrew phrase, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine" finishes off this beautiful piece of art.
