Danny Azoulay is a Jerusalem artist with a passion for creating high-design papercut ketubahs that both honor the past and carry meaning and tradition into the future. He calls the ketubah “a couple’s first family heirloom" and is mindful of this responsibility as he creates beautiful, architectural pieces to grace the home for years to come. The Jerusalem Vineyards ketubah showcases the artist’s signature architectural style, displaying distinct sections and borders. Vines twine along trellises, heavy with grapes, and delicate curling leaves are silhouetted against a clear blue sky. Crowned in gold leaf above a blossoming tree, a banner of Hebrew reads, “The voice of rejoicing, the voice of happiness; the voice of the groom and the voice of the groom." Beneath the ketubah text is the city of Jerusalem, with the quote adapted from Psalm 137: “I will raise Jerusalem above my highest joy."
