Artist Stephanie Caplan grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and currently lives in the East Village of New York. She draws on the energy of the city, as well as her academic background in Judaism and art history, to create ketubahs that combine art and ritual in new and surprising ways. Caplan uses white space to beautiful effect, allowing the text to breathe and bringing a modern minimalism to the piece. In this design, the artist urges the viewer to interact with the ketubah as a piece of art in its own right.
