Miriam’s Cup, Ceramic with Patina Glaze

This classically-styled ceramic Miriam’s cup helps bring a new and inclusive ritual to Passover seders everywhere. The side of the cup bears the name of Miriam the Prophetess and an image of a tambourine to celebrate her music. The water held by this clay vessel evokes a powerful image of Miriam’s well which provided water for the Israelites as they wandered in the desert for 40 years. This piece was crafted by a husband and wife team who have been creating Jewish pottery for over thirty years.
