Arbor Ketubah

Artist Mickie Caspi draws inspiration from both the Israeli and American design landscapes to create striking ketubahs that fuse traditional themes with clean, contemporary illustration. Caspi’s signature style blends Persian illumination, art deco motifs, and intricate botanical watercolors inspired by her own garden in Newton, Massachusetts. This ketubah utilizes one of the most beautiful visual representations of the partnership between two people: two trees twining together to become one. Caspi adorns them with lush leaves and blossoming flowers in soft shades of green and blue. Small birds perch in their branches, and nestled in their shared canopy are the words “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine" in English and Hebrew. The text itself is framed with the words, “I have found the one in whom my soul delights." If one looks carefully, other quotes from the Song of Songs are tucked between the branches, perhaps hinting to the many surprises and joys that will blossom in the couple’s marriage over the many years to come.
