Artist Mickie Caspi draws inspiration from both the Israeli and American design landscapes to create striking ketubahs that fuse traditional themes with clean, contemporary illustration. Caspi’s signature style blends Persian illumination, art deco motifs, and intricate botanical watercolors inspired by her own garden in Newton, Massachusetts. This ketubah is unique for its Persian scallops and fine brushwork, reminiscent of the traditional henna designs passed down for generations. Panels of watercolor scrollwork, twining vines, and delicate blossoms enhance the border, while the text is framed by the phrase, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine" in both English and Hebrew. The unusual vertical design suits the Persian motifs beautifully and sets this ketubah apart.
