Artist Mickie Caspi draws inspiration from both the Israeli and American design landscapes to create striking ketubahs that fuse traditional themes with clean, contemporary illustration. Caspi’s signature style blends Persian illumination, art deco motifs, and intricate botanical watercolors inspired by her own garden in Newton, Massachusetts. The Deer Ketubah combines floral motifs and traditional illumination in a lovely design that brings to mind a window looking out at a beautiful trellised garden. A blossoming arch frames two graceful deer, crowned by the phrase “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine" in English and Hebrew in gold leaf. The shades of green in the floral border contrast with the soft blue sky with its sprinkling of sparkling Stars of David. This ketubah is a gorgeous symbol of the harmony, growth, and strong partnership that the couple will create together.
