Artist Mickie Caspi draws inspiration from both the Israeli and American design landscapes to create striking ketubahs that fuse traditional themes with clean, contemporary illustration. Caspi’s signature style blends Persian illumination, art deco motifs, and intricate botanical watercolors inspired by her own garden in Newton, Massachusetts. This ketubah showcases scrolling vines, done in delicate lines and brightly colored watercolor, twining together with lush leaves and blossoms. This scrollwork is surrounded by a bold blue frame, reminiscent of Moroccan architecture, or perhaps the blue gates of Safed, or the homes of the Greek islands. Symbolizing growth, vibrance, and wonder, this design also features the phrase “I have found the one in whom my soul delights" in both English and Hebrew.
