Danny Azoulay is a Jerusalem artist with a passion for creating high-design papercut ketubahs that both honor the past and carry meaning and tradition into the future. He calls the ketubah “a couple’s first family heirloom" and is mindful of this responsibility as he creates beautiful, architectural pieces to grace the home for years to come. This magnificent ketubah illustrates the beautiful and compelling themes from King Solomon’s Song of Songs. Tall, graceful trees reach up to heaven while blossoming flowers twine below. The lush canopy above casts a dappled light on the Hebrew phrase, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine," illustrated in rich colors in a classic style. Touches of gold leaf complete the geometric border, framing the quote from the Song of Songs: "Like the rose maintaining its beauty among the thorns, so is my beloved...Like the fragrant apple among the barren trees of the forest, so is my beloved".
