Danny Azoulay is a Jerusalem artist with a passion for creating high-design papercut ketubahs that both honor the past and carry meaning and tradition into the future. He calls the ketubah “a couple’s first family heirloom" and is mindful of this responsibility as he creates beautiful, architectural pieces that couples will treasure for years to come. Long revered in Jewish mystical tradition for symbolizing holiness, sweetness, and prosperity, the orchard is a meaningful symbol of the blessings bestowed upon a new couple on the day of their marriage. Above the ketubah text, an orchard blooms, lush with leaves and animals, against a background of a distant Jerusalem. The text is surrounded by a thick border of leaves and blossoms and is accented with gold leaf and the exuberant blessing, “Od Yeshama."
