Danny Azoulay is a Jerusalem artist with a passion for creating high-design papercut ketubahs that both honor the past and carry meaning and tradition into the future. He calls the ketubah “a couple’s first family heirloom" and is mindful of this responsibility as he creates beautiful, architectural pieces to grace the home for years to come. The One Heart Ketubah is a lovely interpretation of the marriage of a couple, as two people become one. In this design, two trees twine together, creating a single canopy that cradles the words “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine" in both English and Hebrew. The lush branches create a heart shape, surrounded by Azoulay’s signature calligraphic latticework. A subtle geometric border contrasts beautifully with the soft design of the leaves, and is set off with gold leaf. A beautiful marriage of curve and line, as well as English and Hebrew, this ketubah is a beautiful symbol of the eternal joining of two people.
