Tree of Life Ketubah

Karla Gudeon, a former teacher, came to her art career later in life when she chose to pursue her passion for hand-colored engraving and watercolor. Karla is inspired by illuminated manuscripts and folk art, and artistically portrays her own core values: family, culture, strong women, an open-minded world view, and the natural world. The Tree of Life Ketubah is a saturated, rich example of Gudeon's signature floral motif borders. The ketubah text is framed by a lush tangle of twining vines, blooming flowers, and branches heavy with songbirds and ripe pomegranates. Deep purple and blue flowers border the text itself, providing the perfect counterpoint to the riotous color all around.
