This metal and glass mezuzah by Gary Rosenthal is designed to prominently display the shards from a wedding’s breaking glass. Gold Hebrew and English lettering reads “ani l’dodi v’dodi li” (I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine). Mezuzahs are traditionally affixed to doorposts in Jewish homes. They hold a parchment that reads the shema, the most important prayer in Judaism, and they sanctify a Jewish home. The mezuzah’s significance in the home combined with the inclusion of the wedding shards make this a perfect wedding gift. A pioneer of Jewish ritual art, Gary Rosenthal has been making Judaica for over forty years. He uses a portion of his profits to give back to the community.
