Two ceramic slabs enclose a stainless steel blade, forming this simple but beautiful challah knife. The green edge of the crackle design complements both the red pomegranate at the base of the handle as well as the gold Hebrew lettering. Pomegranates are prominent symbols in Judaism, representing abundance and mitzvot; it’s said that there is one seed in the pomegranate for every mitzvah in the Torah. The Hebrew at the bottom is the refrain of L’cha Dodi, a traditional shabbat song welcoming the sabbath bride. Handcrafted in Israel.
