Menorah, City of Lights, Red, Purple & Turkish Blue
Artist Faye Miller says “Interpreting the beauty and harshness of the natural world and the joy of spiritual celebration drive my creative processes. The work is influenced by geometry and there are elements of wildness, whimsy and intense color. Glass is my medium as I’m fascinated by the liquid solid contradiction it represents. The glitter and shine of the highly polished surfaces I use reveal the transparent depth of the material. Understanding the technical aspects of glassblowing, which involve chemistry and physics, intrigues me. My work makes me a whole person and I’m incredibly lucky to be able to do it.
