Artist's quotation:
There are a few Coptic (Egyptian) men left in Israel and no Coptic women. The monastery I visited with my friend Stella was a small structure with a low doorway through which we had to bend in order to enter, thus following the custom of humbling ourselves, according to many Middle-Eastern cultures. The priest welcomed us with kind hospitality.
