12" bronze sculpture on crème marfil marble base.

The artist discovered this beautiful 16th century torah scroll alphabet when creating some three dimensional Hebrew letters. She sculpted the letter Gimel at the time of Rosh Hashanah, a time associated with the word ge’ulah—גאולה—meaning redemption, a theme associated with this holiday.

Nancy Schön is an internationally renowned sculptor, most well known for her celebrated Make Way for Ducklings in the Boston Public Garden.
