Liat Cohen is a true virtuoso guitarist who continues the great tradition established by the legendary Andr' Segovia. She is a master of diverse guitar techniques ranging from rich arpeggiation and fast passage work to sotto voce, expressive colors, and rich polyphony. Cohen was the first guitarist ever to win the Nadia Boulanger Prize awarded by the Foundation of France. She has won a number of awards and participated in numerous international guitar competitions of Rome, Paris, and Tel Aviv. Her magnetic onstage presence and original repertoire make Cohen a unique voice in the music scene today.
