Spring Woods Ketubah

Spring Woods Ketubah

Since 1976, artist Miriam Karp has been creating vibrant, unique ketubahs. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Indiana University in Bloomington and has been awarded two National Endowment for the Arts awards for her paintings. Author Anita Diamant featured Karp in her book, The New Jewish Wedding. You can find her artwork in private and public collections in the U.S. and abroad. The Spring Woods Ketubah showcases the artist’s signature watercolor style. A stand of Spring trees complements the calligraphic text of the ketubah itself, displayed in a unique position in the lower right corner of the canvas, creating not only a ketubah but also a piece of gorgeous landscape art. Different shades of fresh green and a touch of lilac bring this design to life. This scene is bordered by a frame bearing the words, "Ani l’dodi v’dodi li," "I am by beloved’s and my beloved is mine," in English and Hebrew.
