Do our names get filled in on the ketubah in advance, or is that something the rabbi does?
You may want to have a calligrapher fill in the names of the wedding couple along with the place and date of the wedding, in Hebrew and English. In some instances the ketubah artist will do this for you; if this is not the case we can recommend a local calligrapher. Fee for this service is paid either to Kolbo or directly to the artist/calligrapher and usually costs between $55 and $100. This is a nice option, as it then looks like a complete cohesive document. However, having your rabbi fill in your ketubah on the day of your wedding is perfectly acceptable.
