This haggadah, published by the Reform Movement’s Central Conference of American Rabbis, is clear and welcoming. As described in its foreword, "Sharing the Journey
encourages us to be sensitive to the unique personal and religious background each individual brings to the retelling of the Exodus story. This inclusive Haggadah enables everyone around the table to feel involved in the universal theme of the struggle for freedom … Sharing the Journey
acknowledges that Hebrew prayers may not be known by all and models inclusivity through its gender-sensitive language. It is also sensitive to the role women have played in redemption of all peoples." Transliteration is used throughout, and the text of the seder is augmented by short prompts for reflection. The haggadah includes an option for a Miriam’s Cup ritual, and an appendix features lyrics to traditional and contemporary Passover songs. Illustrations by Mark Podwal add color and vibrancy to this elegantly accessible haggadah.
