This sweet work of art is small in size but big on charm. Using a centuries-old technique of hand-colored engraving, artist Karla Gudeon hand-pulls a print for each image from the metal plate she has incised with her line drawing. Then she uses watercolor to paint each one in loving detail on handmade paper. This piece features one of Gudeon’s spectacular hamsas, complete with intricate swirls, visiting songbirds, and the English text, “In safe hands.” Made in the U.S.A.
